LIFE-SAVE

LIFE-SAVE (Solar Aided Vehicle Electrification) is a project funded by the European LIFE program for the development and industrialization of a system to convert cars into hybrid-solar vehicles, with very low costs compared to purchase of a new hybrid or electric vehicle. The purpose of the project LIFE-SAVE, started in September 2017 and to be completed in September 2021, is to produce a version of this technology ready to be placed on the market. At the same time, the qualifying objective of LIFE-SAVE is to encourage the creation of a corporate body among the project partners to continue the industrialization and marketing of the product.

E-TRACT

“E-TRACT” is a research innovation project funded under the Programme Electric Mobility Europe 2016 and coordinated by Mecaprom, and with the participation of 2 more partners from 2 European countries.

E-TRACT main goal is to validate a fully mechanically integrated electric traction system, as scalable solution for electrifying Light Duty Vehicles (1.5 – 4.2 t), with a focus on minibuses (

– Integrating the electrified axle unit into a demonstrator minibus (up to 4.2 tons, 20 seats and 60/80 Km range), propelled by a lithium battery system;

– Performing the qualification tests to prove the real conversion efficiency of the innovative E-TRACT solution on a demo minibus, on regulatory cycles (New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) and the Worldwide harmonized Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) Standards) as well as real driving cycles, including urban and suburban paths available by the end users.

– Covering of several market segments, as well hybrid plug-in and pure electric original equipment as homologated kit-add for converting traditional powered vans.

V2G

“V2G-eVolution 2 Grid” is a research innovation project funded under the Programme Electric Mobility Europe 2016 and coordinated by IREN, and with the participation of 3 more partners from 3 European countries.

During the project, partners will test the novel V2G integrated solution in real simulated conditions of two case studies (public and household), evaluating benefits and obstacles at technological and regulatory level, assessing its business potential and creating awareness about the results of the project, engaging stakeholders, public administrations, car owners, etc.

The main project objectives are the following:

  1. To develop, test and optimize an integrated V2G solution;
  2. To test the solution in real simulated conditions;
  3. To assess the Legislations and Standards development;
  4. To assess and evaluate the benefits and obstacles;
  5. To assess the business potential of the novel V2G solution;
  6. To create awareness and communication.
