HYBRID PROPULSION VEHICLE
Mecaprom fully integrated extended range powertrain unit, designed and patented for small and medium road vehicles application, including an electric generator and a traction motor based on a modular electro-magnetic active parts unit, a specifically designed twin boxer engine, a dual CSC electro-hydraulically driven clutch system and a dual drive electrically pre-synchronized transmission unit, including a planetary gear reducer and a differential gear set.
The powertrain group is completely managed by a Traction Control Unit, able to automatically control a plurality of driving modes: standard electric, boosted electric , extended range, extra-urban cruising, on board charging, braking and limp-home.
The system architecture allows to minimize the accumulator energy content, providing pure electric driving in the range of 60 to 80 kilometers, extending the missions up to 400 Kilometers by the combination of the available power paths.
Mecaprom motor generator collecting a specifically designed twin cylinder engine providing a drive shaft connected to an electric generator by a mechanical transmission group.
The mechanical transmission group connects the end section of the drive shaft to the rotor of the electric generator, comprising a clutch unit providing a drive plate able to sliding along the end section and a driven plate able to rotating around the drive shaft, mechanically connected to the rotor of the electric generator.

The two-cylinder boxer engine has rotating inertial masses with polar moments able to generate a cyclic irregularity ranging from 0.031 to 0.033 at a rotational speed from 2800 to 3200 rpm.
